This paper offers a systematic reflection on accountability research in accounting literature. It shows the dynamic relationships and networks between construction of research, academics, journals. The involves review literature selected journals, using both qualitative quantitative methodologies. Drawing Bourdieu's relational sociology for its theoretical methodological frameworks, constructs socioanalysis academic intellectual capital by categorizing various positions reputations relation to scholarship field accounting. finds that subtle process position taking works symbolic material ways through citing being cited key authors this cultural field. develops general but sociopolitical approach study doxa reflects way which is recognized valued. argues production dialectic process, influences authors’ reflections choices at same time influenced network
